Frequently Asked Questions about Professional Organizing

What do you offer that I can't do myself?

My goal is to help you get started and then break through that feeling of being overwhelmed.  Organizing and decluttering does not come naturally to everyone.  Or maybe it does to you, but you just need a pair of extra hands, someone to help you stay focused and on task, or just want an accountability partner.  

Working together with you, I will talk to you about what you need and what's not working for you so I can help figure out a more organized way that will work for you,  save you time and maybe even save you some money.  I can look, with fresh eyes, at your spaces in new and different ways. 

My goal is not just to put your things in pretty containers, but to help you figure out what's essential, and arranging those things in a way that is functional and makes the most sense to your way of living.

Will you judge me? Is the process confidential?

No judgments from me! I'm here to help you.  Situations range from minor clutter to major chaos, but to me they're just problems  to be solved, so that you can feel better in your home. 

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. I will ask your permission before posting any Before and After photos of your space and any testimonials you have about your organizing and decluttering experience with WOW! Organized!

Will you make me get rid of everything?

Never.  My goals is to be your coach by asking helpful  questions and offer support to you in making decisions about the items you keep, love and use. I help give you permission to let go of those items you're keeping for the wrong reasons.  And we work together, in the decluttering process, to decide what to keep and what to remove. 

Do I need to prepare for an appointment?

Definitely not for the initial consultation. I need to see the space that needs organizing as it is, so that I can make an accurate assessment of your challenges. Again, don't worry about any judgments from me.  I've seen it all.  

Sometimes, with my client, we create a plan of action, which can include some "homework" for the client to tackle between appointments. 

What does it cost?

Pricing includes up to one-hour round trip drive time. removal of up to one vehicle-load of donations per work session, product recommendations, follow-up summary email.

  • On-site work sessions are $80 an hour.  First work session is a 3-hour minimum. 
  • Consultation for the D.I.Y.er who needs a plan, or  learn the basics of organizing, or have accountability and coaching is $159 for 1.5 hours.  

Payment is due at the end of each appointment. We accept checks, cash and payments through Zelle.

How long will it take?

Due to the nature of organizing, it is impossible to be precise about the amount of time required. More time may be involved, e.g. if another space needs to be significantly re-organized in order to accommodate items removed from the project area, or if I’ve misjudged the client’s energy level or ability to make decisions. Additionally, if the client agrees to “homework assignments” then this will reduce the number of hours required. I will know fairly early on in the project if we need to significantly adjust the projected time involved. 

What is your cancellation policy?

If a client needs to reschedule or cancel within 48 hours of an appointment, for any reason other than an emergency, I will charge half of the fee for that organizing session.  If a client needs to reschedule within 24 hours, the full fee for that session will be charged.

What are your COVID policies and procedures?

WOW! Organized! LLC is committed to your safety and the safety of our team, while still providing you with a high level of service.   We are completely vaccinated and boosted!

  • We will only come to your home or office if we are feeling healthy, as is everyone in our client's location. 
  • If someone in your location is sick, has been in contact with someone with COVID, or has traveled to areas which may have put them at risk for exposure, we request clients to reschedule their appointment.
  • Per CDC guidelines, if clients and family members have not been vaccinated, we will request they continue to wear a face covering if they intend to be in the same room as our team members.
  • We will practice "social distancing" and try and maintain a 6-foot separation from your family members.
  • We will have gloves, disinfectant wipes or sprays, hand sanitizer to disinfect surfaces we come on contact with.
